Sculptra: An Awesome Way to Rejuvenate Your Skin

Most dermal fillers (Restylane and Juvederm) are made of HA or Hyaluronic acid. HA is sugar and lasts from six months to 18 months after injection.

Sculptra Aesthetic is a special product that only very advanced injectors use on patients.

Dr. Rostami is an expert on Sculptra and also a national trainer for the procedure.

Also, Dr. Rostami is one of the only providers in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia area that injects Sculptra.

THE AGING PROCESS AND FILLERS

As you get older, your skin quality decreases. In addition, you lose fat, bone and collagen from your face.

Dermal fillers are a good solution for the temporary improvement in the deep to fine lines on the aging face.

For every decade, your face losses about 10 mL of volume.

Each syringe of HA filler contains 1 mL. That means you might need an astonishing 10 syringes to improve signs of aging!

In addition, while fillers may improve the volume loss from aging, they do not improve skin quality.

SCULPTRA AESTHETIC: BEST KEPT ANTI-AGING SECRET

Sculptra Aesthetic has been in use worldwide for many years and in the US for over a decade. Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis.

The active ingredient, PLLA, stimulates skin cells to produce collagen.

You will see an improvement after injection that will reappear after 24 hours.

Typically, the product is injected in a series of three treatments every four to six weeks apart.

The improvements from Sculptra are gradual and natural. This is why it is one of Dr. Rostami’s preferred treatments!

WHY SCULPTRA VS. OTHER FILLERS

Your own collagen is stimulated and regenerated by Sculptra. You get several benefits from collagen vs. HA:

1. Gradual, natural results

2. Improvement in your overall skin quality

3. Longer-lasting results

The average Sculptra patient will come back at two years after the 3rd treatment for a touch up, but some patients can go for up to five years without needing additional treatments!

ADDITIONAL COSMETIC NEEDS

Finally, Sculptra does not treat lines on your forehead, dark under-eye circles, or fine lines around your mouth.

So you still may consider Botox or Dysport and HA’s for lip and under-eye rejuvenation.
