Dermal Fillers Q&A

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections that add volume under your skin to smooth out lines and wrinkles and enhance your natural features. Rostami OPC uses dermal fillers to treat many beauty concerns, including:

  • Lines and creases
  • Recessed acne scars
  • Under-eye shadows
  • Shallow contours
  • Facial deformities

When you come in for a dermal filler consultation, the doctors conduct a comprehensive evaluation to understand your beauty concerns and aesthetic goals.

What are common types of dermal fillers?

Rostami OPC offers many types of dermal fillers to meet a range of beauty needs. The types of dermal fillers available include:

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm is a brand of dermal fillers that contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, which is a smooth gel that flows easily into the skin. Many Juvéderm products are offered, including Juvéderm Voluma™, Juvéderm Vollure™, and Juvéderm Volbella™, as well as Juvéderm Ultra™ and Juvéderm Ultra Plus™.

Restylane®

Restylane is another brand of dermal fillers. Like Juvéderm, Restylane fillers contain hyaluronic acid. Rostami OPC uses Restylane and Restylane Lyft® to replace lost volume and restore your youthful contours.

Sculptra®

Sculptra is an advanced dermal filler made from poly-l-lactic acid, which helps replace lost collagen. Collagen is the protein found in your dermal layer of skin that provides its youthful bounce and strength.

Unlike other types of dermal fillers, Sculptra isn’t a quick fix. However, because it stimulates the production of collagen, it provides long-lasting results.

Radiesse®

Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel. The dermal filler creates the ideal foundation for your skin, providing lift and volume.

Belotero Balance®

Belotero Balance also contains hyaluronic acid. However, the dermal filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within your skin for soft, even correction.

Bellafill®

Bellafill contains unique microspheres your body can’t absorb. The microspheres work with your skin to produce more collagen to provide the support your skin needs for natural, long-lasting results.

Fat transfer

Rostami OPC also offers fat transfer dermal fillers. During a fat transfer, the doctor suctions fat from one area of your body and injects it into another. They perform nanofat transfers, as well as microfat transfers.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections

PRP is a form of regenerative medicine that stimulates your body’s natural healing powers. Dr. Rostami combines PRP injections with dermal fillers to perform the Vampire Facelift® and Vampire Facial®.

What happens during dermal filler treatments?

The doctors develop personalized dermal filler treatment plans specific to your needs. They review the details of your treatment during your consultation so you know what to expect.

In most cases, dermal filler treatments take less than an hour and require little, if any, downtime.
