CoolPeel Treatment
To start your CoolPeel treatment, we’ll begin by cleansing your skin and using a numbing cream to help reduce any discomfort you may experience. That said, not everyone needs numbing cream, as many patients tolerate treatment well without it.
The Tetra PRO CoolPeel laser will then be passed over the targeted area. It delivers short pulses of light to the treatment area, ablating and removing the top layer of skin. Most patients describe it as feeling like a rubber band snapping against their skin or a slight tingling sensation. Treatment typically lasts anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
For best results you may need multiple treatments. Since there is very little downtime, this shouldn’t deter you from getting the multiple treatments.

CoolPeel Recovery and Aftercare
Right after the treatment, you will likely have some redness and the feeling of a mild sunburn. These side effects typically last a few hours to a few days. Your skin will then start peeling, allowing healthy, rejuvenated skin to replace your old, damaged skin.
In the days following treatment, you’ll want to follow your provider’s aftercare instructions, including using a gentle cleanser, moisturizing, and regular sunscreen use. You’ll also want to avoid direct sun exposure. You can likely return to your normal routine after 1-2 days.

When you see your results will depend on the condition of your skin and certain lifestyle factors. Most patients see noticeable improvements as their skin heals in the following months. How long your results last will depend on your skin’s natural aging process, your amount of sun exposure, and your skincare regimen.
