How Brella Works
The Brella SweatControl Patch uses Targeted Alkali Thermolysis (TAT) technology to help reduce underarm sweating. The SweatControl Patch consists of a thin sodium sheet that is applied to the underarm. When the sodium mixes with the sweat on your underarms, it heats up. This heat targets and damages the sweat glands, ensuring they produce less sweat over time.
Treatment only takes three minutes per underarm and is completely needle and aluminum-free.

What to Expect From Brella Treatment
Before Treatment
In the 48 hours before your Brella treatment, you will want to avoid shaving your underarms. You’ll also need to avoid using deodorant on the day of your appointment.
During Treatment
Brella SweatControl Patch treatment is a straightforward procedure. To start, your provider will check your underarms for any redness or abrasions that could affect treatment. They will then clean your underarms. From there, they’ll apply the SweatControl Patch to one underarm. During treatment, you will likely feel a slight tingling, stinging, or warming sensation. The patch will be left for three minutes.
Once the first underarm is done, we’ll repeat the process on the other underarm.

The Brella SweatControl Patch received FDA clearance based on a study of 110 adults with primary underarm hyperhidrosis who said that it either frequently interfered with their day-to-day lives or always did. 64% of those in the study showed significant improvement in their underarm sweating compared to 44% who received a placebo. And those that saw an improvement showed a more than 50% reduction in the amount of sweat they produced!
Those in the study also reported that they had no severe side effects, with 80% having no side effects at all. Participants that did show signs of redness or swelling stated that those side effects subsided within two weeks.
