In an article for Allure, a Ms. Devon Abelman shares her own story with dermal lip filler. She’s always been a bit self-conscious about her thin lips–but because of a slight fear of needles she’s steered away from injectables.
Instead? She liked to use different shades of lipstick, painting her lips in an array of colors. But eventually she decided to bite the bullet and try out dermal lip filler.
A TREATMENT OF VOLBELLA

Abelman relates how before she got the filler treatment, it took just three swipes to finish her lipstick routine. Two swipes up top, one for the bottom.
Now? She lines her lips up first with the lipsticks’ pointed tip. And after that, she fills them in. The result is a slightly longer and more precise makeup routine.
The plus side of all of it is that she feels that it gives her more freedom. As she puts it, it “lets her experiment with makeup in a new way.”
