WHAT IS THE LIP LIFT?
This is a procedure done by a doctor where the space between the bottom of the nose and the top of the lips is shortened.

ARE FILLERS BEING REPLACES BY A LIP LIFT?
In some cases, yes. The most common patients requesting a lip lift from their doctor is one who is tired of coming in every few months for a filler treatment.
Filler can cause bruising, and does not always yield consistent results, which encourages patients to search for a more permanent solution to volume loss in the lips.
HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE?
While dermal filler injections usually take about 10-15 minutes, a lip lift will typically take about an hour in the operating room.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT?
Your doctor will generally tell you to experience a few days of a pulling sensation in your lips, along with two weeks of swelling.
Ice and Tylenol can help address any discomfort during this time.
HOW LONG DOES A LIP LIFT LAST?
Unlike dermal filler injections that dissolve after a few months, this surgical treatment is a permanent procedure.
