Today’s lip filler options are extremely versatile and can help restore volume, improve structure, add definition, erase lip lines, and increase poutiness.

However, with all of these capabilities, it can be difficult to know which product to choose and what to expect from your first treatment.

If you are considering lip filler in Northern Virginia, continue reading to learn all about Juvederm and Restylane and how they compare in terms of indications, results, and cost.

Here’s everything you need to know about Restylane and Juvederm in Northern Virginia.

WHAT IS RESTYLANE LIP FILLER?

Restylane lip filler is an injectable treatment designed to enhance the size and shape of lips as well as combat lip lines. It is composed of hyaluronic acid, which a sugar molecule that naturally occurs in the skin and joints.

There are two Restylane products that can be used to plump lips. Restylane Lyft is ideal for patients than want added volume, fullness, and definition.

In comparison, Restylane Silk is a thinner product and is indicated for subtle lip enhancement and correction of perioral lines.

WHAT IS JUVEDERM LIP FILLER?

Like Restylane, Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler that can instantly plump lips and soften wrinkles around the mouth.

Juvederm Ultra XC offers a very smooth application and produces full and younger-looking lips. Comparatively, Juvederm Volbella is an excellent option for patients that want to add slight volume to their lips and combat vertical lip lines.

RESTYLANE VS. JUVEDERM – RESULTS

Restylane and Juvederm lip fillers both achieve immediate results, without any downtime. Some minor and temporary swelling, bruising, and irregularities are possible, but typically resolve on their own within a few days.

Longevity of results can vary based on the product used. With that being said, Restylane Lyft effects tend to last 6-8 months, and Restylane Silk results last up to 6 months.

On the other hand, Juvederm Ultra XC plumps lips for 9-12 months, and Volbella effects can be enjoyed for up to 12 months.

RESTYLANE VS. JUVEDERM – COST

Restylane and Juvederm prices are often influenced by geographic location and injector skill and experience. However, on average, one syringe of Restylane or Juvederm costs around $600.

During your initial consultation, you will receive a customized treatment plan outlining the number of syringes recommended and the estimated cost for the procedure.
