The Botox Microdosing Trend is on the Rise

BOTOX RESTON

You may have heard that the Botox microdosing trend is on the rise, and it’s true.

Over the past year, microdosing has been a headline grabber with many excited about the results from this new way to use Botox Reston.

WHAT IS BOTOX MICRODOSING?

Microdosing refers to the technique of applying a very small amount of Botox into the skin, instead of the standard recommended dosage.

By injecting just a small amount of Botox Reston, the toxin is only targeting the superficial layer of the skin as opposed to the muscle deeper below the surface that causes wrinkles.

This trending new procedure is also known as the following:

WHY IS MICRODOSING POPULAR?

Microdosing is great for many reasons.

As it only generally targets the superficial layer of the skin, microdosing is a great strategy to overcome issues with acne due to oily skin, redness or sweat.

Some doctors may even inject slightly deeper to provide a more subtle approach to combat wrinkles on the forehead.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

You can expect your microdosing level of Botox to last for the same amount of time as a traditional Botox dosage, about three to four months.

FINDING THE RIGHT INJECTOR

Because Botox microdosing is so new and falls under so many different names, it is not uncommon for different injectors to have different options about what entails a microdose of Botox Reston.

However, it is first most important to seek the services of an expert injector who has years of experience with Botox.

Once you have found your injector, be sure to discuss your goals through your treatment and make sure that they align with the doctor’s expectations from the microdosing session.
