Enophthalmos relates to posterior displacement of the eye. This means that one eye has moved back relative to the unaffected eye. Enophthalmos can occur after an orbital fracture or in the setting of sinus disease. Enophthalmos tends to be corrected with surgery. It is important to see one of our trained oculofacial plastic surgeons to determine the degree of enophthalmos and if surgery is indicated.
