Fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Belotero) Reston
A liquid facelift is for anyone interested in turning back the clock on aging. The liquid facelift utilizes hyaluronic acid fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, or Belotero), calcium-based fillers (Radiesse) and neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport) all administered at the same visit for full correction of lines, wrinkles, folds and creases.
This unique and non-surgical procedure is gaining in popularity because the procedure can usually be done in less than an hour, with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime (although some swelling and bruising can be a side effect as a result of the injections). When considering this procedure however, it is critical that you have the injections done by a doctor who has extensive experience in administering the proper fillers in the most beneficial areas. Dr. Rostami is an Expert Injector as she meets the stringent criteria set forth by expertinjector.org.
Dr. Rostami takes into consideration each individual’s unique facial features and musculature when considering the placement of the fillers and the injection sites. This achieves the most natural look without the "over-done" result that can happen when an inexperienced or overzealous injector performs the procedure.
Liquid facelifts can correct crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, hollows under your eyes, and give volume to cheek bones, and lift and fill those dreaded "parentheses" (technically termed naso-labial folds), as well as marionette lines, those aging lines going from the outer corners of the mouth to the chin. The overall result can be a very dramatic improvement in the youthful look of the face. Your face will regain the fullness and firmness that you had in your youth and the all of those creases and lines that "tell" your age can be gone… all in less than an hour!
Juvederm is a dermal filler from Allergan (the makers of Botox®). It is a next generation smooth gel, non-animal dermal filler, which offers a natural look and feel that lasts from six to nine months. Juvederm’s longevity is due to its high concentration of hyaluronic acid and special formulation process, creating a smooth gel that flows easily into the skin. Because hyaluronic acid is a natural component of your own body’s cells, the results are incredibly natural.
Restylane® & Perlane®
The Restylane family of products includes both Restylane and Perlane. They are cosmetic dermal fillers, which replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the face. These fillers smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, especially the nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth). The hyaluronic acid in both products is produced from the same process, the only difference being in the gel particle size. Perlane has larger particles and is excellent for deeper injections. Dr. Rostami will determine which product is best suited for you. Restylane lasts about six months, while Perlane lasts between six to nine months.
Belotero has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line). Belotero is made of a material called hyaluronic acid or HA. HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. By binding to water, it fills in wrinkles and folds, allowing immediate and smooth correction.
Radiesse® Volumizing Filler
Radiesse is a little from hyaluronic fillers. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. The microspheres help create the ideal foundation for your skin, lifting and replenishing your skin’s lost volume. When placed correctly, Radiesse can help with under eye hollows and nasalabial folds. Dr. Rostami loves using this product because restoring lost volume to the cheek and temple areas create an immediate youthful lift.
Sculptra Aesthetic is a new type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. Unlike the dermal fillers listed above, Sculptra is not an overnight miracle; it is not a quick-fix. It stimulates your own collagen to regenerate over time for long lasting (more than two years!) volume and lift. By gradually replacing your own lost collagen, you gain a natural-looking, appearance that won’t give you away! A full treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic consists of an average of three to four injection sessions scheduled about four weeks apart.
Temporary injectable wrinkle fillers are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are broken down and eventually absorbed by your body. As a result, wrinkle correction is only temporary and you may need repeat injections several months after the initial treatment to maintain your wrinkle correction.
Artefill is different because it contains unique microspheres that are not absorbed by your body. These microspheres work with your skin to produce collagen to provide the support your skin needs for natural, long lasting results. If your fillers seem to disappear really quickly, speak with Dr. Rostami about this more permanent solution.
