Botox® & Fillers

Botox®

Botox® is a purified protein that is administered in a simple nonsurgical procedure. It temporarily improves the appearance of frown lines between the brows and crows feet at the corners of the eyes. Low does of Botox® are injected directly into the muscles that have caused those lines and wrinkles from movement over time. The entire procedure takes about 10 minutes. You can expect to see results within days after your treatment. The visible results of Botox® can last up to four months.

Fillers

Juvederm™
Juvederm™ is a new dermal filler from Allergan (the makers of Botox®). It is a next generation smooth gel, non-animal dermal filler which offers a natural look and feel that lasts from six to nine months. Juvederm's™ longevity is due to its high concentration of hyaluronic acid and special formulation process, creating a smooth gel that flows easily into the skin. The results are incredibly natural.

Restylane® & Perlane®
The Restylane® family of products includes both Restylane® and Perlane®. They are cosmetic dermal fillers which replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the face. These fillers smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, especially the nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth). The hyaluronic acid in both products is produced from the same process, the only difference being in the gel particle size. Perlane® has larger particles and is excellent for deeper injections than Restylane®. Dr. Rostami will determine which product is best suited for you. Restylane® lasts about six months, while Perlane® lasts between six-nine months.
